RED-Africa’s top omni-media company has launched Church Culture, a church communication agency.

The agency was launched on Sunday, April 16, 2017 with a Rubbin’ Minds Easter special on Channels Television themed ‘Discussions on the Media and the Church’.

Church Culture according to RED  will provide communication solutions to churches towards achieving its core mandate of propagating the gospel of Christ in a digitally connected age.

It is also  aimed at spotlighting the church in Nigeria and its impact in Africa, and discussing how the Church can consolidate influence in the society‎.

Speaking on the effect of the church on popular culture, Revd. Sam Adeyemi, Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre said: “The Church is an expression of the kingdom of God. God’s kingdom has its own culture, its own values, and it’s meant to influence other cultures. So church culture should influence pop culture.”

“We need to understand that the altar is not just a place you go to, you are now an altar unto God. You don’t in essence go to church, but you go to a gathering where you learn how to download the ways of God, and (then) go back as the Church to shape your environment,” Fela Durotoye, Visible Impact Limited said while speaking about our conduct as Christians.

“The Church is not the building, the Church is you, and we are supposed to go out carrying the presence and the spirit of God to do great things that will shape culture,” he stated.

Adebola Williams, Co-founder of RED, spoke about the essence of Church Culture to audiences saying “the company was launched to help churches speak effectively to an audience that keeps evolving. The Gospel of Christ and its message remains the same, but the tools and channels of disseminating it continues to change rapidly. What Church Culture does is deploy its expertise and experience in amplifying the salvation message in ways that it remains true and effective.”

The launch show featured leaders in the Christian community including Revd. Sam Adeyemi, Daystar Christian Centre; Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, Trinity House Ministries International; Fela Durotoye, Visible Impact Limited; and Tara Fela-Durotoye, House of Tara International.

Others are Ferdinand Adimefe, The Tribe Lagos; Kola Oyeneyin, RCCG, Joshua Ville Church; Toyin Poju-Oyemade, Covenant Christian Centre; Jumoke Adenowo, Awesome Treasures Foundation‎; and gospel artistes, Tim Godfrey and Glowreeyah.
